Our Story

It all started with two words.
I CAN.

2005 to 2009 was one of those turn around seasons. It was tough, rough, challenging, and rewarding.

I wrote a story about myself. My upbringing and where I was at the time.

Determined to share it with the world but I didn’t know how to write a script or direct a film, not to talk of directing my own story. But I knew I was the best person to tell my story because it’s my story if you know what I mean.

Plateau State, where it all starts making sense but confusing at the same time.

I don’t care about Jos but my why and purpose took me to Plateau State. Schooled at the Polytechnic and became a studio assistant at CFM (Christian Faith Ministry) in Jos

I spoke with my coordinator in Outreach Xty’s Revolution(Dance & melo drama). A group I belong to backed them in school and he said I should sell it. Money was not my focus, telling my story by myself was the focus. So I said no, that I wasn’t going to sell the story to any production company.

I made up my mind to learn the skill of filmmaking in order to be able to tell my story.

2013 to 2014 Muyiwa David, a friend turned brother, came up with an idea of starting a media production company in Jos. I liked the idea because it was the right circle for me to grow to become what I want.

We made magic. We shoot weddings, documentaries, conferences, commercials, podcast, live streamed events, collaboration with media house, Radio Station, shoot the biggest comedy show in Jos with Osama (Rhythm of laughter) and make short and future films. 2021 November. The brand (Lord’s Nta10ment) won Jogama Green Awards for the best short film(Salina) of the year.

Even though I was not ready to let go of the brand, it was time for me to start my own.

I lift Jos for Abuja August 2021 and 2023 July 5th. Amechi Ofiwe Studios (AOSFilms) was born
